In the debut episode of actor Rhea Chakraborty’s podcast, Sushmita clarified that she has been single for nearly two years, dating back to 2021. She said, 'I have no man in my life,' she elaborated that while she cherishes her wonderful friends, she is currently not involved romantically with anyone.
The former Miss Universe expressed contentment with her single status, describing it as a deliberate break that she is enjoying.'I have no man in my life. I’ve been single for a while. It has been almost two years since I have been single, to be precise since 2021… I am not in a relationship. I have some incredibly wonderful people in my life who are my friends and they are all just waiting for a moment for me to call them and say, ‘Look, I’m pulling the car out, get in the backseat. We’re driving to Goa’,' she said.
During the podcast, Rhea Chakraborty playfully teased Sushmita about being a 'gold digger,' drawing a quick-witted response from Sushmita. The banter referenced an earlier viral stir in 2022 when Sushmita Sen and Lalit Modi’s announcement of their association sparked widespread buzz.
Sushmita Sen clarified that she is currently not seeking love but also shared her perspective on handling heartbreaks. She emphasised that at her stage in life, the focus is not on experiencing heartbreaks anymore. When she invests in a relationship, she gives it her love, care, and energy, ensuring that everyone involved feels protected. If any aspect of the relationship turns toxic, she asserted that she swiftly walks away without looking back. Sen added that trust forms the foundation of her world.
Sushmita Sen, was previously in a long-term relationship with model Rohman Shawl but parted ways in 2021. Following this, she briefly dated businessman Lalit Modi, with the pair sharing affectionate pictures on social media. However, their relationship quickly faded away.
