Sulochana Latkar laid to rest with full state honours; Maharashtra CM, others pay last respects

Veteran actor Sulochana Latkar, who was part of films like ‘Shree 420’, ‘Nagin’, and ‘Ab Dilli Dur Nahin’, passed away at a hospital in Mumbai on June 4. She was laid to rest at Shivaji Park funeral ground with full state honours, including a police gun salute.

Actor Jackie Shroff was seen at the funeral.

Ahead of the last rites, Sulochana’s body was kept at her Dadar residence.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and MNS chief Raj Thackeray were seen arriving at the late actor’s residence to pay their last respects.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and actor Sachin Pilgaonkar, who is said to be one of Sulochana's close friends, were also spotted at the late icon’s house.

Sulochana Latkar was known for her work in Hindi and Marathi films. She featured in more than 300 films in her career.

She also played Amitabh Bachchan’s on-screen mother in a number of films including ‘Muqadddar Ka Sikander’, ‘Majboor’, and Reshma Aur Shera.
