Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu took to social media on July 13 to share that she has finished filming for her upcoming Prime Video series ‘Citadel’.

She shared a picture of herself with filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK and writer Sita Menon and wrote, ‘And it’s a wrap on #CitadelIndia. A break doesn’t seem like a bad thing at all when you know what’s coming. @rajanddk @mensit The family I didn’t know I needed. Thank you for helping me fight every single battle and never ever giving up on me.. I wish more than anything in the world to make you proud.. Thank you for the role of a lifetime.. i.e until you write me the next.’

‘Citadel’ also stars actor Varun Dhawan, who is making his OTT debut with this web series.

Earlier, Samantha’s publicist Mahendra told indianexpress.com that the actor won’t be taking on any new projects for one year.

He said she will be leaving for the USA for the treatment of her autoimmune condition, Myositis.

‘If her condition improves earlier than expected, she may return within six months. However, the planned duration of her break is one year. She is already making good progress in her recovery, and her doctors have advised her to take mandatory rest. Samantha will depart for the US in the fourth week of August (Aug. 20),’ the publicist shared.
Besides ‘Citadel’, Samantha also completed shooting her upcoming film ‘Kushi’ with Vijay Deverakonda.
