PM Modi mentions Yami Gautam’s film ‘Article 370’: Here’s what he said and how Yami reacted

Actor Yami Gautam’s upcoming film ‘Article 370’ received a shoutout from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The film, which will hit the theatres on February 23, will see actor Yami essay as an intel officer.

Mentioning ‘Article 370’ in his speech during Jammu visit, Prime Minister said, “I have heard that a film on Article 370 is going to be released this week... It is a good thing that as it will help people in getting correct information.” 

Yami Gautam’s reaction

Yami expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister for mentioning her film and reposted the clip. Yami wrote, “It is an absolute honour to watch PM@narendramodi Ji talk about #Article370Movie. My team and I really hope that we all exceed your expectations in bringing this incredible story to the screen!  

About ‘Article 370’ 

Based on the events that unfolded around ‘Article 370’ in Kashmir, the film tells the story from an intel officer’s perspective. Film’s trailer showed Yami’s character dealing with the challenges of terrorism and corruption in a J&K which has a special status.

Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, ‘Article 370’ is backed by Yami’s husband Aditya Dhar along with Lokesh Dhar and Jyoti Deshpande.
