In a round of sad news, Pankaj Tripathi's brother-in-law died in an accident in Jharkhand. The actor's sister was also in the car and is critical. She is currently being treated. Pankaj Tripathi’s brother-in-law Rakesh Tiwari and sister Sabita Tiwari were headed to West Bengal from Gopalganj district of Bihar.
According to PTI, the accident occurred at around 4.30 pm at Nirsa Bazar on the Delhi-Kolkata National Highway-2. The car the couple was travelling in hit a divider, a police officer told the news agency. As per reports, Sabita is undergoing treatment at the Dhanbad Medical College Hospital.
Sabita suffered a leg fracture, and is out of danger, SNMMCH Emergency HOD Dr Dinesh Kumar Gindauria told news agency PTI.
As per reports, Rakesh Tiwari was himself driving the car when it lost control and hit a road divider. Police are investigating the case to ascertain the exact reason of the accident.
Pankaj Tripathi is known for his roles in many Bollywood films like Main Atal Hoon, OMG-2, Stree, Ludo and Mirzapur.
