Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui discussed depression in an interview with Mashabale India. He described it as an urban concept, claiming that people in villages never face it and that if he told his father he was depressed, he would receive a 'tight slap.'
The actor stated, 'I come from a place where if I told my father I was depressed, he would give me a hard slap , Depression waha nahi tha, kisi ko bhi nahi hota waha depression, sab khush hai (No one gets depression in villages, everyone is happy there). But after moving to the city, I learned about anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder.'
On the career front, the actor, who was last seen in Sudhir Mishra’s Afwaah, is gearing up for his next release. Titled Jogira Sa Ra Ra, the film also stars Neha Sharma.
