Namashi Chakraborty, Mithun Chakraborty's younger son, makes his film debut in 'Bad Boy', a romantic comedy. The film which is being directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, also stars Amrin, who is also making her debut.  Namashi recently discussed his father's career and longevity during promotional events for the upcoming film. He also stated that his father should not have done Gunda (1998). He called it notorious and infamous, and felt that given his father's stature, Mithun should have passed on the Kanti Shah film, as many of the younger generation associate him with it.

Namashi said in an interview with ETimes that, while he enjoys the film, he believes his father should not have been a part of it. He stated, 'I think Gunda is a film that is so infamous. It is well-known for its intriguing content. Many people in today's generation believe that my father is only capable of making films like that. It became too well-known, so bad that it's good. I mean, I like the movie; it's funny, but given his stature, he shouldn't have done it.'

The romantic comedy, produced by Anjum and Sajid Qureshi, will be released in theaters on April 28, 2023. Namashi's brothers Mimoh and Ushmey Chakraborty also became actors.
