Michael J Fox had a ‘mindblowing’ experience as he reunited with Coldplay at Glastonbury Festival 2024. The actor joined the popular band for a surprise performance and played guitar on the band’s hit ‘Fix You’.
Concert-goers at the UK music festival were in for a big surprise and an experience of a lifetime as Michael J Fox joined Coldplay during the group’s main set. Towards the end of their performance, Chris Martin applauded Fox and said, “The main reason we’re in a band is because of watching ‘Back to the Future’, so thank you to our hero forever and one of the most amazing people on Earth, Mr Michael J. Fox.” For the unversed, Fox played Marty McFly in ‘Back to the Future’.
Talking about the whole experience, Fox thanked the band members as well as their team. He took to Instagram and wrote, “Thanks to the @coldplay team who took such great care of us. And many thanks to Chris, Will, Johnny, Guy and Phil,” before adding that it was mindblowing. He went on to praise the band and wrote, “There is a time for every band and a band for every time. This is @coldplay’s time.” The actor also shared a carousel of pictures including photo of a sign that read, “Coldplay Special Guest’. His post also featured a short video of the band backstage.
It was not the first time that the legends joined hands. Earlier Fox and Coldplay performed together at Metflife Stadium in 2016.
Several Hollywood A-listers attended the music festival. Coldplay’s show saw Martin’s fiancee Dakota Johnson, Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg and many more enjoying in the audience.
