‘Masaba Masaba 2’ is all set to premiere on Netflix on July 29 and ahead of its release, the show’s star Masaba Gupta took to Instagram and shared a throwback picture of the late singer-composer Bappi Lahiri along with her mother Neena Gupta. ‘This season of the show has some very, very special cameos. But this one by Bappi Da will be the most memorable.’ Bappi Lahiri died in February this year due to Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
Bappi Da was best-known for his hit songs such as ‘I Am A Disco Dancer’, ‘Raat Baaki’, ‘Naino Main Sapna’, ‘Humko Aaj Kal Hain Intezaar’, among many others.
His last Bollywood song was titled ‘Bhankas’, from ‘Baaghi 3’ (2020). The legendary singer also appeared as a guest in an episode of the TV reality show ‘Bigg Boss 15’.
‘Masaba Masaba’, the Netflix series, is inspired by the lives of the ace fashion designer and her actor-mother. The second season of the show will introduce actors like Kusha Kapila, Barkha Singh, Kareema Barry, and Ram Kapoor.
