After a gap of three years, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who is known for his remarkable films like 'Parinda' and '1942 A Love Story', has returned with his latest directorial titled '12th Fail'. The film is based on the best-selling Anurag Pathak novel of the same name. Talking about the film, Vinod Chopra said that it is a tribute to all the honest IAS officers of the country.

Recently a special screening was organised in Tagore Film Centre NFDC, Chennai, in which, megastar Kamal Haasan shared his views on the film through a video message. “Namaste, I am talking from NFDC theatre in Chennai where I saw 12th Fail by my friend Mr Vidhu Vinod Chopra. These are occasions when you feel proud to say that somebody is your friend. I am very happy I saw the film. Most of them who saw the film had only one thing to say: ‘Longtime since we saw a good film like this.’ I would like to second that. Thank you Vinod Chopra for making a film like this. It brings back hope in filmmakers like me to confidently go ahead and do what you love the most,” Kamal said.

Starring Vikrant Massey in the lead role, the film is all set to be released on October 27.
