The release date of Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Jawan’ has reportedly been postponed. The film, directed by Atlee, was scheduled to release in theatres on June 2. However, according to a Pinkvilla report, the release date has been pushed as the team needs some more time to complete the visual effects of the movie.

A source close to the production team said, ‘Jawan is no longer releasing on June 2, 2023. The team needs some more time to complete the visual effects of the film and they would rather come up with a product that competes with the best in the country than a substandard one’.

The source further added that the team is contemplating several release dates but they need to be in sync with the VFX guidelines.

The dates being considered for the action entertainer at the moment are June 29, and the second or third week of August. According to the source, August 11 and August 25 are being heavily discussed by all stakeholders at Red Chillies.

Besides ‘Jawan’, Shah Rukh Khan also has Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Dunki’ with Taapsee Pannu in the pipeline. SRK’s last film ‘Pathaan’ was a blockbuster. which earned over 1000 crores worldwide. The film also starred Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in lead roles.
