Yami Gautam Birthday : Yami Gautam has impressed the audience with her experimental roles and glamour. She gained recognition after doing a few commercials for ‘Glow & Lovely’ and then started her acting career in television shows, followed by South films and eventually Bollywood.

Let’s take a look at some of Yami Gautam’s works.

A Thursday (2022) 

The Behzad Khambata directorial was released on Disney+Hotstar. The film narrates the story of one fateful Thursday in Mumbai. A nursery school teacher Naina holds 16 children hostage and produces a list of unfathomable demands.

Bala (2019) 

Yami co-starred with Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar in this Amar Kaushik directorial. It revolves around Bala who suffers from premature balding and struggles to match up to societal beauty standards. When his love life is at stake, he seeks help from a dark-complexioned lawyer. Yami played the roles of Pari Mishra, Bala's wife in the film.

Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019) 

The film was directed by Aditya Dhar, Yami’s husband. She starred opposite Vicky Kaushal in this military action movie which is based on the surgical strike executed by the Indian Army on retaliation to the 2016 Uri attack on the Indian Army base. Vicky played the role of Major Vihaan Singh Shergill of the Indian Army, who leads a covert operation against a group of militants across the LOC. Yami played the role of an undercover RAW agent.

Kaabil (2017) 

This romantic action thriller, directed by Sanjay Gupta, starred Yami Gautam and Hrithik Roshan in the lead roles. The film follows the story of a visually impaired couple Rohan and Supriya. Their life comes to a halt when Supriya is raped by men with political links, following which she commits suicide. Rohan then vows to take revenge. 

Yami received rave reviews for her portrayal of Supriya Bhatnagar. The film was huge success at the box office.

Vicky Donor (2012)

This romantic comedy, directed by Shoojit Sircar, dealt with the topic of sperm donation. The film's lead pair Yami and Ayushmann Khurrana made their Bollywood debut with this film. 

Dr Baldev, the owner of a fertility clinic and a sperm bank, is looking for a healthy sperm donor and his search ends when he meets a handsome young Punjabi boy Vicky. Yami played the role of Ashima Tuna Roy, Vicky's wife.
