Hansal Mehta's daughter to return to India safely; filmmaker thanks good Samaritans

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta is currently in London shooting for his upcoming film with Kareena Kapoor Khan. He took to Twitter on Friday, November 11, and sought help from external affairs minister S Jaishankar in ensuring his daughter’s safe return to India from Bali, where she is on a school trip. He mentioned that she lost her OCI (Overseas Citizenship of India) card and needs to travel back home tomorrow or she might get stranded.

‘Need help urgently. My daughter is in Bali on a school trip and has lost her OCI (Overseas Citizenship of India) card. She needs to travel back to India tomorrow or might get stranded. Please help @DrSJaishankar,’ he tweeted. The external affairs minister, or ministry of external affairs officials from India or Bali, are yet to respond to his tweet.

A few Twitter users tried helping Hansal Mehta by sharing some leads. A few hours later, the filmmaker tweeted that his daughter’s travel has been sorted thanks to some good samaritans. He also deleted his tweet and thanked all those who called and tweeted to help.

Hansal Mehta recently made headlines after a Twitter user accused him of ‘giving Kangana Ranaut a flop film’. He had hit back at the netizen claiming that the actor’s last release, ‘Dhaakad’.Hansal Mehta directed Kangana Ranaut in Simran (2017). Following the film’s release, he called working with her a ‘massive mistake’. Besides a film with Kareena, Hansal Mehta will also helm ‘Captain Indian’, starring Kartik Aaryan.
