Vicky Kaushal bagged the Best Actor award (critics') for his spectacular performance in ‘Sardar Udham’. As he went on stage to accept the award, the actor expressed his love for his wife Katrina and thanked her for bringing happiness to his life. He said, ‘I love you mom-dad. I love you dearest wife, you have brought so much happiness in my life. Thank you Sunny, you guys make me who I am as a person.’ He also paid tribute to late actor Irrfan Khan, who was initially supposed to do the Shoojit Sircar directorial.
Katrina kissed the actor on the cheek after he won the award.
Ahead of the event, Katrina was questioned about her hush-hush wedding. Speaking with Zoom, she said that more than trying to keep their wedding private, they were restricted by Covid-19. She mentioned that her family has been personally affected by the virus and it was something they had to take seriously.
She further added, ‘I think this year it’s been a lot better, but it was something that we wanted to really be cautious of, but the wedding was beautiful. I think we are both very happy.’
