Veteran actor Dharmendra recently underwent eye graft surgery and was spotted in Mumbai sporting a bandage over one eye. He made a public appearance on Tuesday as he left the hospital, dressed casually in a printed shirt, black pants, and a black hat.
In a video shared on Instagram, the seasoned actor paused to speak with the paparazzi.
Exuding his characteristic resilience, Dharmendra assured his fans, "I am strong. Abhi bhi Dharmendra mein bahut dum hai. Abhi bhi jaan rakhta hoon. Meri aankh, eye graft (corneal transplantation) ho gayi hai.
I am strong." His message was clear: despite the surgery, his spirit remains undiminished.
Expressing heartfelt appreciation for his supporters, Dharmendra remarked, "Love you, my audience and my fans."
Just last month, Dharmendra attended the screening of "Loveyapa" in Mumbai, a film starring Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan. The event was marked by a touching moment as veteran actress Rekha greeted Dharmendra by touching his feet, a gesture of respect.
They have shared the silver screen in several classics, such as "Ram Balram," "Kahani Kismat Ki," "Ghazab," "Keemat," and "Kasam Suhaag Ki."
On the professional front, Dharmendra's last appearance was in "Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya," which featured Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in lead roles.
The film was well-received, and the cast included notable names like Dimple Kapadia, Rakesh Bedi, Anubha Fatehpuria, Rajesh Kumar, Grusha Kapoor, and Ashish Verma.
Looking ahead, Dharmendra will star in Sriram Raghavan's "Ikkis," a much-anticipated war drama.
The film explores the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, a young soldier posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his bravery. Alongside Dharmendra, the cast includes Jaideep Ahlawat and Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan, in pivotal roles.
