Deepika Padukone is back after attending the Paris Fashion Week. The actor, who has been an active advocate of mental health, is currently at Tamil Nadu's Thiruvallur, for expanding her mental health program Live Love Laugh's rural community, ahead of World Mental Health Day, on October 10. At the event, she recalled the time when she was battling depression.
The actor talked about the importance of a caregiver while fighting mental illness. According to NDTV, the actor wondered in what state she would have been today, if her mother had not identified her symptoms.
She further added that her mother ensured she was regular with her treatment, consultations with the doctors.
The ‘Gehraiyaan’ actor first opened up about her depression in 2015.
Deepika also mentioned how her mother got to know about her mental status when she asked the actor some questions.
Deepika recently made a cameo in ‘Brahmastra’. She will be next seen in ‘Pathaan’ with Shah Rukh Khan, which is scheduled to release on January 5, 2023.
