Kartik Aaryan's recent film ‘Chandu Champion’ has received immense praise from fans and the film fraternity.

Now, actor Katrina Kaif has cheered for filmmaker Kabir Khan and praised Kartik's performance.

Sharing the film's poster on her Instagram story, Katrina wrote, ‘Kabirrrrr, just loved the film. You are such a beautiful storyteller, bringing such an incredible, inspiring story to life. It was so emotional to see the story and how beautifully you made this film. Outstanding performance by Kartik Aaryan. All the best, Kabir Khan.’

Vicky Kaushal also gave a positive review for the biographical sports drama. The ‘Sam Bahadur’ actor wrote, ‘Thoroughly enjoyed watching the film. Incredible storytelling Kabir Khan sir. Moves you inspires you, entertains you!’

Vicky appreciated Kartik's performance, saying, ‘Spectacular work, Kartik Aaryan. Keep shining brother.’ ‘Salute to the true champion...Murlikant Sir!’ he added.

Co-produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan, the film is based on the life of India’s first Paralympics gold medalist, Murlikant Petkar.

What Kartik’s trainer said

In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, Kartik’s trainer revealed they started a ‘program-based workout’ in 2022 for ‘Chandu Champion’. At the time, Kartik was as heavy as seen in the picture that garnered scrutiny. Discussing Kartik’s physical transformation, he said, ‘At the beginning, I gave him basic movements like squats, pull-ups, and push-ups, and he couldn’t do any of it! I knew he had gained weight for Freddy, but the fact that he couldn’t do these basic movements really shocked me.’

Katrina and Vicky’s work front

Katrina Kaif was last seen in ‘Merry Christmas’, released earlier this year, where she starred alongside Vijay Sethupathi.

Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal made a special appearance in the 2023 film ‘Dunki’, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu. Vicky is now set to appear in ‘Bad Newz’ and ‘Chhaava’.
