Anushka Sharma reacts as Foreign Minister gifts signed bat from Virat Kohli to Australia's Deputy PM

Actor Anushka Sharma is extremely proud of her cricketer-husband Virat Kohli. The actor took to Instagram on Tuesday and reacted to the gesture of External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who gifted a bat signed by Virat Kohli to Australia’s Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles. Anushka shared the news article on her Instagtam stories along with red heart emoji. 

For the unversed, External Affairs Minister met Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles in Canberra on Monday and gifted a signed bat from Kohli, in a gesture to show that cricket that binds both countries together.

‘A pleasure to host @DrSJaishankar here in Canberra. There are many things which bind us, including our love of cricket. Today, he surprised me with a signed bat from cricket legend @imVkohli,’ Marles tweeted.

Earlier, Virat Kohli had appreciated Anushka for her hard work as she prepared to portray the role of a cricketer Jhulan Goswami in her upcoming film, 'Chakda Xpress'. Directed by Prosit Roy, the film marks the 'Sultan' actor's comeback after a maternity break and it will exclusively stream on Netflix. 

Anushka Sharma tied the knot with Virat Kohli in Italy in 2017. The couple welcomed their daughter, Vamika in January 2021.
