The teaser of Ranbir Kapoor’s forthcoming film ‘Animal’ has been released on the occasion of his birthday.
It shows an intense Ranbir Kapoor playing a man who is emotionally and physically abused by his father but doesn’t hold it against him. He defends him and even seeks his validation.
The teaser then shows how Ranbir’s character grows up to become a gangster and faces ‘Lord’ Bobby Deol.
‘Animal’ marks Ranbir Kapoor’s first collaboration with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor. and Bobby Deol.
‘Animal’ will be Ranbir’s second release of the year, after ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s second Bollywood film after ‘Kabir Singh’.
‘Animal’ is set to release on December 1. The film was originally slated to release in August and was set to clash with Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’, Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’ and Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer’, but the director chose to delay the film.
He shared that the decision was taken as the post-production of the film was incomplete.
‘Why we are not able to release the film on August 11? The only reason is the quality. It might sound like a generic answer, generic reply but the fact is only quality… For example, there are seven songs in the film, when seven songs multiply into five languages it becomes 35 songs. 35 songs, different set of lyricists, different set of singers, it’s going to take a little more time than what I actually planned for,’ Sandeep Reddy Vanga said in a video announcing the delay.
‘I have lately realised or else I wouldn’t have released the pre-teaser. Thank you so much for the pre-teaser response. A few of them said it will not be in the film but it will be there in the film, it is a cut out of the film episode,’ he added.
