Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s 'Animal,' starring Ranbir Kapoor, is now in theatres and it has majorly garnered positive reviews across the globe. The official X (formerly Twitter) handle of 'Animal' has announced that the movie has surpassed the $1 million milestone in North America, becoming the first Hindi film to achieve this feat.

Earlier reports indicated 'Animal' would dominate the Indian box office. Latest figures show the film has sold 7,45,992 tickets across 12,539 shows. Sacnilk.com reports that 'Animal' earned approximately Rs 20 crore in its advance bookings. Of these, 5,75,197 tickets were for Hindi shows, while 1,63,361 were for Telugu screenings.
'Animal' is co-written, edited, and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who is known for 'Kabir Singh’. It marks the debut collaboration between Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. Alongside them, the movie features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Tripti Dimri in pivotal roles. It delves into a father-son's toxic bond and has received an 'A' certificate from the CBFC, boasting a runtime of 3 hours and 35 minutes. 'Animal' clashes with Vicky Kaushal's 'Sam Bahadur,' directed by Meghna Gulzar.
A screening of ‘Animal’ was hosted in Mumbai ahead of its theatrical release which was attended by many celebrities. Recently, Alia Bhatt also reviewed Ranbir Kapoor’s film and called it ‘outstanding’ and ‘Khatarnaak.’
