Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’ is one of the most anticipated films of this year. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial, which was scheduled to arrive in cinemas on August 11, will now hit the theatres on December 1.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to social media to share the news.
He wrote, ‘RANBIR KAPOOR - SANDEEP REDDY VANGA: ‘ANIMAL’ TO ARRIVE ON 1 DEC… #Animal gets a new release date: 1 Dec 2023. #RanbirKapoor #SandeepReddyVanga #BhushanKumar #MuradKhetani.’
As per a Bollywood Hungama report, the film’s VFX is the reason for the delay.
A source informed that ‘Animal’ is one of the most ambitious projects helmed by T-Series and they do not want to compromise on the quality. The director supposedly needs more time to give a ‘world-class product’, and the producers are standing by him.
‘Animal’ team recently shared a pre-teaser announcing that the film will release on August 11. However, the makers will now avoid box office clash with Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer ‘Gadar 2’ and Akshay Kumar starrer ‘OMG 2’.
‘Animal’ also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna.
The first look poster of Animal was released in January this year.
‘Animal’ has been filmed in Himachal Pradesh as well as actor Saif Ali Khan's Pataudi Palace near Delhi.
