Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has undergone angioplasty in Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital. The megastar was reportedly hospitalised in the early hours of Friday. An official statement from the hospital and family is still awaited.
Amid the news of his hospitalisation Big B has expressed gratitude in a post on his official social media handle. He wrote, “T 4950 - in gratitude ever ..” He has also shared a video with his son Abhishek Bachchan from his appearance at Indian Street Premier League. The actor was seen cheering and celebrating as their team qualified for the finals in ISPL.
This is the second surgery that the actor has gone through this year, he had undergone another surgery for his wrist in January. The actor injured himself wile shooting for Kalki 2898 AD in Hyderabad last year. The actor strained his rib cartilage and suffered from a torn muscle due to which he could not travel to the San Diego Comic Con to promote the film.
Big B is gearing up for the release of Kalki 2898 AD where he will share the screen with Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani. This film will release on May 9. Besides, he will also be seen in ‘Section 84’.
