Razzaq's remark, made at a press conference, triggered widespread criticism after he showed disrespect towards Aishwarya Rai.

The former cricketer faced backlash, with former colleague Mohammad Yousaf also condemning the comment.

Razzaq later apologized on SAMAA TV, attributing his slip of tongue to a misunderstanding and expressing regret for any unintentional offense caused. Aishwarya Rai has yet to respond to the controversy.

Taking to X, previously known as Twitter, Amitabh Bachchan shared a post featuring the folded hands emoji and wrote, “T 4830 - for this has more meaning than any printed word.."
