‘Adipurush’, starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan, is all set to release on June 16.
According to film trade analysts, the Om Raut directorial, which is said to be made on a budget of Rs 500 crore, has done good business in terms of distribution rights.
‘Adipurush’s distribution rights alone have made a business of Rs 270 crore.
According to film tracker Ramesh Bala, the distribution rights of the movie for two Telugu-speaking states–Telangana and Andhra Pradesh–were sold for approximately Rs 150 core to People Media Factory.
He added that the distribution rights for ‘Adipurush’ in the Hindi belt and the rest of South India were sold for Rs 120 crore.
The OTT and satellite rights of the film have reportedly been sold for a whopping amount of Rs 210 crore.
The film is still short of Rs 30 to 50 crore to break even, according to sources.
With rapid pre-booking of the tickets, the movie is expected to turn profitable a few days after its release.
Several celebrities including Telugu actor Manchu Manoj and Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor have bought tickets in bulk.
Ranbir Kapoor booked 10,000 tickets to distribute to underprivileged children, while Manoj and his wife Bhuma Mounika have bought 2500 tickets for the film and will distribute them to kids in Andhra Pradesh.
