Aujla, who originally wrote "Tauba Tauba" at the age of 27, shared his excitement on Instagram, acknowledging the significance of the moment. "I wrote it at 27; she sang it at 91 better than me," he remarked on his Instagram Stories. He also posted a clip of Bhosle’s performance, calling her "the living Goddess of music."

Reflecting on his journey, Aujla shared the story behind the song’s creation, noting its humble beginnings. "A song written by a kid who grew up in a small village, with no music background and no knowledge of musical instruments. A melody made by someone who doesn't play any instrument," he wrote, expressing his deep appreciation for Bhosle’s rendition.

While "Tauba Tauba" had already cemented its place as a fan favorite earlier this year with its inclusion in the film Bad Newz, featuring Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri, Bhosle’s performance elevated its legacy. The song, known for its intricate hookstep choreographed by Bosco Martis, had also become a viral sensation with fans attempting to replicate its moves on social media throughout 2024.

"This moment is truly iconic and one I will never forget," Aujla added. "I am blessed and thankful. It has inspired me to continue creating melodies and memories for all of you."

Asha Bhosle, with a career spanning more than eight decades, has left an indelible mark on the music world with timeless classics such as "Chura Liya Hai Tumne Jo Dil Ko," "Piya Tu Ab To Aaja," and "Dil Cheez Kya Hai." Her ability to connect with music across generations remains unparalleled, as showcased by her recent embrace of contemporary hits like Aujla’s.

Meanwhile, Aujla continues his successful "It Was All A Dream" tour, performing in Jaipur on Sunday. His next concert is set to take place in Ahmedabad on December 31, as he wraps up an eventful year.
