English hooliganism was on display once again during the Day 1 of the 3rd Test as Mohd Siraj was the target. According to Rishabh Pant, the English fans hurled a ball towards Mohd Siraj while he was fielding near the boundary ropes. It wasn't clear whether the ball hit Siraj or not but it clearly left Virat Kohli fuming. Team India didn't lodge an official complaint after the incident but that clearly encourages the offenders to repeat what they did.

There have been some more instances of English fans being unruly as reports have emerged of KL Rahul being targeted in the Lord's Test. Rahul was allegedly hit by a champagne cork while fielding but Team India decided against lodging a formal complaint.

Siraj in the past has been a subject of racial abuse in Australia where the young fast bowler from Hyderabad was targeted while fielding. A formal complaint followed and the offenders were evicted from the stands for hurling racial slurs.
