Don't paste stickers on fruits and vegetables: Punjab Food Safety department

The Punjab Food Safety department has asked traders to avoid pasting stickers on fruits and vegetables as they pose health hazards. Punjab Food Safety Commissioner K S Pannu stated that in many cases stickers are applied to hide a defect and most of these stickers are irrelevant. Moreover, the adhesives used to paste them have surfactants that could be toxic.
