Tennis fans couldn't have asked for a better French Open final as a relentless Novak Djokovic came back from 2 sets down to beat Greece's Stefanos Tsitsipas in a marathon on Sunday night. With a crazy win, the Serbian has now 19 Grand Slam singles titles, 1 less than Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
Tsitsipas, who had become the first Greek player to enter the final of the Major, brought out his best against an in-form Djokovic and took the first 2 sets 7-6, 6-2. That's when the world number 1 from Serbia staged a brilliant fightback and bounced back to win the next three 6-3, 6-2, 6-4.
Victory at the 2021 Roland Garros made Djokovic the first player in last 52 years to win all 4 Grand slams at least twice.
