Ace Tennis star Novak Djokovic on Saturday said that he hopes that the Covid-19 vaccines are not made compulsory for players participating in ATP tournaments. The World No. 1 who contracted the virus last year, feels that freedom of choice should be supported. While ATP has not made it mandatory, they have recommended the players to take the vaccine. ATP also listed a set of benefits for the players who are vaccinated. For eg, vaccinated players would not be required to self isolate in case close contact tests positive. Djokovic also denied revealing his decision on taking the vaccine and said that he does not want to be labelled as someone who is against or for the vaccine.
