Diljit Dosanjh, Shehnaaz Gill and Sonam Bajwa-starrer 'Honsla Rakh' had a grand opening last weekend. The film has earned Rs 5.15 crore on Friday, Rs 5.85 crore on Saturday and Rs 6.50 crore on Sunday. Over the opening weekend, the total collection of the film stood at Rs 17.5 crore.

Diljit Dosanjh tweeted to announce the astounding success of 'Honsla Rakh'. He tweeted, "#HonslaRakh Veere… Shattered All PUNJABI Film Opening Records, AAH CHAK 2 Heart 2 Heart 2 Heart Sarey Hearts Tuadey Lai ENJOY WITH YOUR FAMILY FOLKS."
The actor also expressed his gratitude to fans, in a short clip he shared on Twitter. He also thanked viewers on behalf of the cast and crew, and asked them to "keep enjoying the film."
'Honsla Rakh' marks the first onscreen appearance of Shehnaaz Gill after the death of late actor Sidharth Shukla. The film released in theatres on Oct 15, and has become the highest opening Punjabi film.
