Desperate scenes emerging from Kabul airport have become the defining image of the Afghanistan crisis since the Taliban takeover.
Afghans trying to escape the Taliban rule have been flocking the border points of Afghanistan to enter into the neighbouring countries.
A recent video from the Spin Boldak border between Afghanistan and Pakistan shows thousands of Afghans waiting at the gates to escape Taliban rule. Hundreds and thousands of Afghans are seen squatting at the border gate on the Spin Boldak side of the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, waiting to get out of the war-torn country.
The freelance journalist who shared the video wrote that the situation in the border regions are worse than that at Kabul airport because of no foreign forces posting. The chaos in border areas has also not been widely covered by international media.
