The Delhi government is all set to launch a mega anti-pollution campaign on the 5th of October, Delhi environment minister Gopal Rai shared. The campaign will be launched by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. 13 pollution hotspots in the city will be the major focus of the campaign. Various teams of the Central Pollution Control Board will be deployed to help tackle the issue this year.
They are also setting up a centre in Najafgarh to produce a chemical to deal with stubble burning. The government is urging the centre and neighbouring states to use this chemical developed by scientists at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute.
