The daily Covid cases fell below 40,000 in the last 24 hours.
India reported 37,154 new Covid-19 cases and 724 deaths in 24 hours period, Union Health Ministry data showed on Monday morning.
The active caseload stands at 4,50,899 while the recovery rate has improved to 97.22%
Kerala reported 12,220 new cases and Maharashtra had 8,535 fresh infections. Active cases in Maharashtra have increased by more than 2,000. Maharashtra now has more active cases than Kerala.
