India saw a slight increase in the number of new Covid cases reported on May 3, 2023.
A total of 3,720 new infections were recorded in 24 hours, as per data released on the morning of May 3. A day earlier, this number was 3,325.
However, the number of active cases declined to 40,177 from 44,175 a day ago.
Meanwhile, 20 deaths were reported in 24 hours, including 5 fatalities reconciled by Kerala.
