A decline in new Covid cases continued in India on May 2, 2023.
The number of infections reported in 24 hours stood at 3,325, as per data released on the morning of May 2. A day earlier, 4,282 new cases were reported.
Meanwhile, the number of active cases dipped to 44,175 from 47,246 a day ago.
The death toll rose with 17 fatalities recorded in 24 hours, including 7 reconciled by Kerala.
