India recorded a dip in the number of new Covid-19 cases recorded in one day.
4,282 new infections were reported in 24 hours, as per data released on the morning of May 1, 2023. A day earlier, 5,874 new cases had been seen in one day.
The number of active cases also declined to 47,246.
The death toll rose with 14 casualties reported in a day. These included 6 reconciled by Kerala.
