India reported 45,892 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours, Union Health Ministry data showedon Thursday. 817 new deaths pushed the toll to 405,028.
Weekly positivity rate is below 5% and currently is at 2.37%, while daily positivity rate stands at 2.42%. Daily positivity rate has stayed less than 3% for 17 consecutive days.
Active cases has dropped to 4,60,704 and constitute 1.50% of total cases.
44,291 people recovered in the last 24 hours. Recovery rate has improved to 97.18%.
Meanwhile, as the country's second seems to subside, speculations are rife about the third wave arriving in August.
