It's Congress Vs Congress this election season. A day after senior Congress leader Anand Sharma slammed his party's alliance with ISF in Bengal as communal, party's state chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has hit back with vengeance at the so-called G23.
In a series of tweets titled #KnowYourFacts, Chowdhury urged the group to stop wasting time in praising PM Modi and help party fight polls in five states. He also said the Congress was a part of the CPM-led Left Front in Bengal, which was "determined to defeat BJP".
Calling the decision of the front "communal" would only play into the hands of the BJP, he commented. The BJP, of course, is loving the intra-party sparring in the Congress.
It tweeted that Chowdhury is in a pitiable condition where he has to defend "communal elements" to show his loyalty.
