The mother of the 9-year-old Dalit girl, who was allegedly raped, murdered and forcibly cremated in Delhi, has said that she has no objection to Rahul Gandhi posting a photograph of them.

Her comment to India Today comes amid a controversy over Twitter suspended the Congress leader's account following complaint by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights that he had violated the law by revealing the identity of a rape victim.

The child rights body has now sought action against Rahul Gandhi's Instagram account as well. In a letter to Facebook, the Commission said it has come across a video posted on the Instagram profile of Rahul Gandhi wherein the identity of the victim minor girl's family has been disclosed.
