They might be used to eating supremely healthy food and follow a strict dietary regiment but when the Maharaja cooks, even the Olympic heroes can afford to have a cheat day.

Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh invited the Indian Olympic athletes to a special meal at his farmhouse in Mohali. The meal was prepared by the Chief Minister himself and it included specialities from the Patiala Gharana including Mutton Khara Pishori and Laung Elaichi Chicken to Aloo Korma, Dal Masri, Murg Korma, the Dugani biryani, and Zarda Rice to finish with.

The athletes who are used to eating lean called the food slightly 'Rich' but thoroughly enjoyed the spread served by the Maharaja of Patiala on Wednesday night.

Needless to say, Thursday morning was spent burning those calories.
