After winning a Nobel Prize in Chemistry, scientist Emmanuelle Charpentier shared a message for the women scientist around the globe. The official account of the The Royal Swedish Academy tweeted the message that said
"My wish is that this will provide a positive message to the young girls who would like to follow the path of science, and to show them that women in science can also have an impact through the research that they are performing."
The award won by two women scientists, Charpentier and US's Jennifer Doudna has paved a way for women scientists to come forward and claim the victory henceforth.
The duo recieved the award for the discovery and development of Crispr Cas9, which has been termed by the prestigious Royal Swedish Academy as a revolutionary discovery. They are also the sixth and seventh women in the world to have won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry, after scientists like Marie Curie and Frances Arnold.
