A mob of Trump supporters stormed Capitol Hill on Wednesday as lawmakers gathered to verify the results of the 2020 presidential election. Celebrities like Selena Gomez, Khloe Kardashian, Chris Evans, Demi Lovato, Sarah Jessica Parker took to social media to condemn the act of violence and expressed feeling of shock and disbelief.
Selena Gomez, posted an open letter address to executives at America’s largest social media platforms. 'Today is the result of allowing people with hate in their hearts to use platforms that should be used to bring people together and allow people to build community,' she wrote. While, Khloe Kardashian wrote she was “sick to [her] stomach” after seeing the images.
