Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat said that after the faceoff with Indian forces along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Galwan valley and other areas in the Ladakh region last year, the Chinese Army realised that they needed better training and preparation.
He also mentioned that China had to make changes in its deployment in the mountainous terrains of the Himalayas post-Galwan clash.
Rawat while speaking to news agency ANI, pointed out that Chinese soldiers are mostly enlisted for a short duration and don't have experience of fighting in the mountain terrain of the Himalayas, whereas soldiers in India have specialised training and are very adept at warfare in difficult zones like the Tibet autonomous region.
