Reliance is stepping up to come to the rescue of a fuel starved Europe as Mukesh Ambani's flagship refinery at Jamnagar gears to boost diesel supply to EU as per reports.

Bloomberg reports Reliance Industries is deferring planned maintenance to ensure added supply is available as demand for diesel surges. Unnamed sources were quoted as saying the refinery that already supplies to Europe is gearing to ramp that up significantly.

The Gujarat based refinery complex can process 1.36 million barrels of crude a day and is able to export most of the fuel.
