After Amazon, Goldman Sachs and Microsoft's layoffs in 2023, there are reports that the social media company, Twitter is planning to lay off 50 workers from the product division.

According to a report in Insider, billionaire Elon Musk’s decision to lay off more employees from the product team comes only six weeks after he allegedly told employees that there would be no more Twitter layoffs. However, with this latest update of layoffs at Twitter, the report adds that the company may now operate with less than 2,000 people.

Musk had said in November that Twitter was facing “a massive drop in revenue” as advertisers dropped out.  According to reports, More than 500 of Twitter's advertisers have paused spending on the micro blogging site since Elon Musk's takeover last year.

Given that, Twitter is trying other avenues to counter the drop in profit. The company auctioned its furniture at the San Francisco headquarters. This list of products includes conventional furniture like chairs and desks but also some unique sculptures.
