45,000 high paying AI jobs up for grabs in India: Report

A report by TeamLease Digital has revealed that India has 45,000 jobs in Artificial Intelligence with annual salaries for freshers ranging from Rs 10 lakh to 14 lakhs. The report also says that candidates with eight years of experience in similar fields can earn even higher salaries ranging from Rs 25 lakh to 45 lakhs per annum.

The roles are up for grabs in the healthcare, education, banking, manufacturing, and retail sectors. The report states that data scientists and machine learning engineers are the most sought-after. 

According to TeamLease Digital’s research, the expected salaries for freshers in various technology roles in India are as follows, 

• Data engineers can earn up to Rs 14 lakhs per annum
• ML engineers up to Rs 10 lakhs, data scientists up to Rs 14 lakhs
• Devops engineers up to Rs 12 lakhs
• Data architects up to Rs 12 lakhs
• BI analysts up to Rs 14 lakhs, and database admins up to Rs 12 lakhs

The report has also stressed the need for upskilling and investing in AI skills.
