The Border Security Force early on Monday morning fired at a flying object along the Indo-Pak international border in Arnia sector of Jammu district.
A BSF spokesperson said that troops observed a blinking red and yellow light in the sky at around 5:30 am on Monday near the International Border. BSF troops troops fired 25 LMG rounds on the flying object due to which it gained some height and went towards Pakistani side. The area is being searched, officials said.

Drones have repeatedly been spotted in the border areas since the June 27 attack on Indian Air Force base in Jammu when drones were used to drop explosives. This was the first instance of suspected Pakistan based terror groups using drones to launch an attack in India. The NIA is investigating the case.
Then on July 24, Jammu and Kashmir Police claimed they shot down a Pakistani drone carrying a five kg improvised explosive device in Kanachak area of Akhnoor sector.
