Bollywood celebrities have expressed shock after dozens of bodies of people who are believed to have died of Covid-19 were found floating in the Ganga river in Bihar & Uttar Pradesh.
Farhan Akhtar tweeted to say, the news of bodies washed up on its banks is absolutely heartbreaking. Adding that the virus will be defeated someday, Farhan said there has to be accountability for these failures in the system.
Expressing her angst upon hearing the news, 'Saina' actor Parineeti Chopra said this pandemic seems to have brought out the worst in people.
Veteran actor Shekhar Suman too called the news of bodies being washed up on river Ganga, an apocalypse.
For the uninitiated more than 100 bodies of suspected Covid dead have been found floating in Ganga in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
