Amid debate over the Uttar Pradesh government's population control policy, BJP MP Ravi Kishan is set to introduce a private member's bills on the same subject during the upcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament.

As the news broke, actor-turned politician came under intense trolling. Reason: he himself has four children.

NCP leader and Maharashtra Minister Jitendra Awhad took to Twitter and said that Ravi Kishan himself has four children even as he will introduce the Population Control Bill.

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Rakesh Sinha will introduce a similar bill in the Upper Hosue.

The bills focus on disincentivising couples having more than two children by making them ineligible for government jobs and subsidies.
