Amid a shortage of medical services in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal, an auto driver has become the knight of the capital city.
34-year-old Javed Khan who is the lone breadwinner of his family sold his wife's jewelry to turn his auto-rickshaw into a free ambulance service for Covid-19 patients.
Khan, who has been doing his bit for 15-20 days, said that he used a part of the money to fund the conversion of his vehicle into an ambulance.
Along with all the other important resources, his auto-rickshaw also has a 7 kg oxygen cylinder, which he said was gifted to him by social activist Bharti Jain.
Khan also stopped paying the installments of his vehicle, to ensure that the mini facility continues to run effectively.
